Elements of a DPX
WHAT IS A DPX DISTRIBUTOR?
DPX are progressive distributors that distribute grease or oil to the various lubrication points in the system. With specific flow rates, through the tubes that transport the lubricant to each point to be lubricated, these will be lubricated with the quantity of lubricant selected in the previous study, without exceeding or falling short. ELEMENTS OF A DPX
The main thing to know about these progressive distributors is that they must have at least three elements, i.e. an initial block, an intermediate block and a final block. They can have up to 12 elements, i.e. 24 grease points.
There are elements of different flow rates, the smallest being 25, followed by 45, 75, and the highest flow rate is 105 The distributors are assembled according to the needs of each application, with no limitations for mounting different flow rates in the same distributor.
Types of control of distributors
Control with end-of-cycle micro switch
This control consists of a switch located on the side of the dosing element. When the piston where the microswitch is located moves the shaft outwards, the switch contact is actuated, giving a cycle completed signal.

Visual wand control
Visual control rods allow the movement of the pistons and the subsequent operation of the entire system to be visually checked.

Control by inductive sensor
This control consists of an inductive sensor located on the side of the dosing element.
When the dosing piston moves, it displaces the sighting shaft and the inductive sensor gives a signal when it reads the presence of the shaft. This system is used in installations for cycle control and can count up to 300 movements per minute.
Other accessories
Shut-off-ev-2
The shut-off valves Shut-off-ev-2 consist of a 2-way “NC” solenoid valve and a base which is applied directly to the inlet of the progressive distributors.
The EV-2 valve is an indispensable element to transform a standard progressive system into a sectioned system.

Pressure sensor with memory
These gauges are normally used to control possible excess pressure in the main and secondary lines.
If the pressure is higher than the set pressure, the rod comes out of its seat and remains out until the release lever is manually operated.
It is recommended to intervene on the release lever after identifying the cause.

Bridge joint
These connection joints are used when the lubricant distributed through several delivery lines is to be channelled into a single outlet. It can be a dead-end bridge or a bridge with an exit.
