How to fill a grease pump?

When filling a pump, it is important to fill it correctly. We must bear in mind that the worst enemy of these pumps is air, because if an air bubble enters the reservoir, it can be transferred to the circuit and create malfunctions.
To prevent this from happening, the pump must never be charged from above, it must always be charged from below. Filling is done from the grease nipple, or if you want something faster, you can put the applicator on and fill it through a filling hole.

Filling the pump from the grease nipple

Our pumps can be filled with standard grease pumps using the grease nipple on the bottom of the pump.

How to fill a pumpIt is very important that this operation is carried out in a clean environment and that the lubricant in the reservoir is free of impurities. Accessories such as filling filters are also available for this purpose.
During the filling process, the maximum level indicated in the reservoir must not be exceeded.

The drawing identifies the standard filling method, with a manual and/or pneumatic piston rod pump that is submerged in the grease reservoir and connected to the grease nipple of the pump.

How to fill manually?

There is a different, quicker and simpler filling solution that does not require compressed air. The filling pump for commercial cartridges can quickly fill the tank, ensuring clean and efficient filling.
To do this, we must use one of the pump outlets intended for pumping elements, unscrew the yellow or black cap (depending on the pump model), and insert the filling adapter with the code ZZZ100-208.
Then insert the cartridge, already filled, into the hand pump with code ZZZ100-201.
Fill the pump reservoir by squeezing the hand pump handle.
Remove the pump and the filling connection.
Replace the cap.
